I have been a Realtor since 2005 and have been with Century 21 Golden West Realty since 2007. I am passionate about providing the very best customer service in the industry. My goal is not just to get your home sold or help you to buy a home. I strive with every client to understand their unique needs and concerns knowing that everyone's situation and goals are different. Finding the perfect home for a Buyer is very important to me. Helping my Sellers to present their home for sale in the best possible light is a fun challenge. I'm not just interested in collecting a commission check but am much more concerned with building my business by developing relationships that result in "clients for life" . Selling or Buying a home can be a very stressful situation. I try to remove the stress and make the process go as smoothly as possible.
I worked for many years as a manager of large apartment communities. This gave me a strong background in providing superior customer service. It gave me an opportunity to receive a tremendous amount of training in preparing a home for market. (This was long before everyone started singing the praises of "staging" - a new term for a long standing practice in property marketing.)
I also spent several years as a licensed contract manager for a very successful group of Realtors where I was responsible for handling all of their transactions from contract to closing. This gave me an opportunity to deal with many different kinds of Real Estate purchases and unique situations. If problems present themselves in a Real Estate transaction, I concentrate on finding solutions that result in the best outcome for my clients.
My husband is a General Contractor specializing in Home Renovations. I have spent my entire adult life tearing houses apart and refurbishing them. This has given me a great background for looking at the good, bad or ugly in a house and seeing the possibilities of what it can become.
In 2012 I received the SRES Designation. This stands for Seniors Real Estate Specialist. I earned this designation by taking additional training classes to help me understand and effectively represent clients over the age of 50 - like myself - who may have unique Real Estate needs.
I am also a breast cancer survivor. I was diagnosed shortly after becoming a Realtor. Treatment set me back a bit in building my business but the whole experience confirmed for me that I want to spend the rest of my life doing things I enjoy. I love being a Realtor because it gives me an opportunity to work in an industry where I can really be of service to people. Buying or Selling a home is a big "life event" and I am rewarded everyday when my clients tell me that they feel like I have watched over them throughout the process.
I try to find time for a few guilty pleasures as well......playing with my grandkids, fly fishing with my husband, shopping for antiques and tending to my flower gardens(which are growing in size and number each year). My mantra has become "Each Day is a Gift-Enjoy Your Journey!".
